            Consulting company started that specializes in Healthcare Consulting.  Obtained real estate license procuring real estate investment opportunities for medical investors.Consults on therapy operational issues as well as teaching the financial impact for Healthcare Administrators and Social Service designees for Martin University in Indianapolis, Indiana.

            PRESIDENT/CEO (2003-2008)

            Started operations for Therapy Company and grew the company into a 2.4 million dollar year Company.  Recruited employees and was sole responsible party for operations on a daily basis.  Oversaw all operations, business development, human resources, contract negotiations, and administrative affairs. 

 Selected Results:

• Transformed company from a cost based system into a price-based system in less than one year.
• Successfully implemented a cost based accounting system while maintaining necessary margins for overall company profitability.

CONTROLLER (1990-1996)

            Joined company as a startup and designed software and accounting systems.  Managed all accounting functions and hired all relative staff.  Successfully negotiated the buyout of 4 partners and streamlined operations in order for the company to be successful through rough economic times.  Served as bank liaison and also served on Board of Directors of entity.  I also served as legislative liaison for both Medicare and Medicaid issues confronting not only the entity but also the industry as a whole. 

Key Results:

• Negotiated Alliance deal for HTS which enabled us to add a block of nursing homes slowly which would allow us to grow at the right speed.
• Negotiated contract with source from Pennsylvania that grew into a 3 million per year contract on my own.
• Set up two clients with their own therapy company as an alternative to switching providers making it possible for us to earn an ongoing management agreement.
• Networked with providers in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Maryland as we sought ways to grow the company.
• Was solely in charge of a rehab clinic we purchased in Avon.  This was done in order to diversify our revenue streams as well as serve as a billing conduit directly with Medicare.
• Became the business development person using my background in accounting to bridge the gap between the numbers and feasibility for the client.

            STAFF ACCOUNTANT

             Hired as a staff accountant with a Healthcare CPA firm.  Learned how to complete the cost report forms for Medicaid and Medicare in a number of states.  Also learned how to report the forms on a computer format which previously had not been done and allowed us to analyze the numbers in a format, which allowed massaging the numbers into a format that was advantageous for our clients.  Also was exposed to tax, compilation, review, and audit work.  Helped form relationships with auditors for future work.
